Deborah and Dr. Claire Richardson were invited back again in 2012 by Dr. Helen Leonard and 1 World Foundation to continue with their multi-disciplinary team work. Deborah was able to source a wheelchair and take it with her for a young boy paralyzed by a tumour that had spread to his spine. This year the focus was follow-up consultations and in-services to school staff. The excitement in the schools was such that 20 new children were referred for screenings. Of particular note was the discovery of an 8 year old girl with a previously undiagnosed cleft palate. This will lead to referral for surgical repair which will be life changing!
